Practical information

  • Be able to swim at least 25 metres: COMPULSORY
  • €300 security deposit per boat. This security deposit can be paid by cheque or in cash.
  • Cheque or cash payments ONLY. We do not have a credit card machine.
  • Comfortable sports clothing suited to the weather. Jeans are not recommended, or any other form of tight clothing.
  • Woolly jumper and windcheater: It is better to have too many clothes than not enough, since you are always colder at sea than on land.
  • Neoprene wetsuits and shoes can be hired on site.
  • Closed shoes are COMPULSORY. They must cover you well and be able to go in water. No flip-flops or boots allowed.
  • Full change of clothing, including underwear and shoes.
  • Sun protection (sunglasses, cap and sunscreen).
  • String to keep your sunglasses on.
  • Bottle of water.
  • Plastic bags to improve the waterproofing of the watertight compartments.


On your arrival we will go through the following details:

  • Welcome
  • Administrative formalities: contract, safety deposit and hire payment
  • Rundown on the day's weather, high and low tides and tidal range
  • Advice for a personalised tour
  • Safety instructions
  • Distribution of equipment
  • Advice on how to use your paddle, spray skirt and life-jacket.
  • Launch

When you return, you will need a final spurt of energy to rinse your skirt and life-jacket as well as the kayak.

Then it's time to store away the kayak.
